OK.....so I am going to find out about Nestle being a supplier for coffee and ice cream. Edy's does their ice cream east of the Mississippi, and Breyers west. I was also pricing possible coffee mugs to make for our presentation, to get GC3's logo on it. I found some ceramic mugs that were 19oz...which would make sense as they have bigger ceramic mugs. We can talk about this Saturday. COME WITH LOTS OF IDEAS AND REASONINGS BEHIND THEM!!! See you in two days!

Vertical Integration
Team,
What do think about GC3 starting a coffee roasting operation. I have done some initial research and I believe this could decrease GC3's COGS and allow them to start a new profit line by becoming a wholesaler and retailer of their own brand of beans (ie. the coffee GC3 sells to Great Scoops would cost GC3 $3/lb instead of $5/lb). I will do some research on startup costs associated with this operation and have data on Saturday.

As all functional groups have requirements coming up for MIS here is a great resource to give you some ideas on what you may be looking for.

Ice Cream Idea
I had an idea about ice cream. Since we decided to sell the Great Scoops stores, should we form a stratgic partnership with the buyer to sell them coffee and buy ice cream for our Ohio coffee shops from them?
Dunkin Donuts
I thought this was interesting. We discussed Dunkin Donuts a little in our Saturday meeting, I just read in the Columbus Business First (newspaper) that Dunkin Donuts just found a franchisee in central Ohio that will be opening 30 new stores over the next five years.
